HISTORY:
Morris finished 3rd in 1997 for Fast, Cheap & out of Control, but had not placed again until now (even when The Fog of War landed at #11 in Picture).
A previous Skandie winner for Supporting Actor (Spring Breakers, 2013), Franco joins the Five-Timers Club (not an actual thing); he's also placed 13th in Supporting for Pineapple Express (2008), 15th in Supporting for Milk (also 2008), and 3rd in the lead category for 127 Hours (2010). Dunst makes it half a dozen—three out of the six in films directed by Ms. Coppola—with previous appearances at #12s (The Virgin Suicides, 2000), #16 (crazy/beautiful, 2001), #10s (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, 2004), #16 (Marie Antoniette, 2006), and #4 (Melancholia, 2011). Marillier and Hauser are new.
Gray's screenplays for Two Lovers (2009) and The Immigrant (2014), both cowritten by Ric Menello, placed 12th and 17th, respectively.
Paul Walter Hauser. Good to see I'm not the only one to recognize his movie-stealing excellence. And remind me: What was that Florida Project scene again?
ReplyDeleteDafoe chasing the pervert away.
ReplyDeleteWorst seen in the movie.
ReplyDeleteI forgot to see the city of zombies picture. :(
ReplyDeleteGood job, other Marillier and Gray voters...
ReplyDeleteI liked that TFP scene but didn't have room for it on my ballot. Def not the wurst seen.
