I so do not get the love for this servicable picture. So odd.

I thought it would place in the Top Five myself. Seems to me one of the defining films of the decade-- and the only fiction film that addressed head-on (and in the moment) the defining event of the decade. Spike's best IMHO.

What does this movie have to do with Michael Jackson's death?

As an aside, now that I look, 25th Hour received more votes (as opposed to points) than the films that finished #4-7. Only four films managed 10+ votes; this is one of them.

You people are too fond of cosmic hugs. 25th Hour, The Man Who Wasn't There, Silent Light, all with their big fat cosmic hugs in the end. Really, of these three the only one I could call a great movie is Silent Light. Go find an astrologist you and your cosmic hugs.

Did anybody else start playing the clip and think, "What? Something from Touchstone Pictures made the Skandies decade list?"

Scott, how does this film address 9/11? What do you think the meaning of the pre-credits scene is? I don't think I understood this film when it came out.
