So well-deserved. I was coincidentally thinking about this performance during my morning commute (OK, OK, the thought was prompted by driving past his life-size photograph in a Guitar Center store window). His subtley and restraint in this role is absolute perfection.
I should note that Thornton joins Julianne Moore in the tiny list of actors who made both this decade list and the last one. He just squeaked in at #20 ten years ago for Sling Blade.
