Gainsbourg makes her fifth appearance in the last decade, following nods for The Science of Sleep (#14s, 2006), I'm Not There (#9s, 2007), Antichrist (#2, 2009), and Melancholia (#6s, 2011). Tomei has placed three times before in Supporting, landing at #5 (In the Bedroom, 2001), #17 (Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, 2007), and #3 (The Wrestler, 2008). Isaac came in 2nd just last year for Inside Llewyn Davis, losing to Leonardo DiCaprio. Bautista is new.

The Ceylans' screenplay for Once Upon a Time in Anatolia placed 15th two years ago.

I am partly responsible for Bautista's placing, Anonymous. I'm glad several others also thought him worthy. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY was one my faves this year, but it seems I'm in a minority there.

Obviously I meant a minority in terms of Skandie voters. GUARDIANS is much beloved by normal people.
