HISTORY:

Wright placed 14th in 2010 for Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. I'll go ahead and reveal that Baby Driver won't be showing up in Picture; that's twice we've much preferred his direction to the film as a whole.

Williams, a Skandie favorite, makes her eighth career appearance in the top 20, a year after she (again) nearly won Supporting Actress. The full roster:

2s. Brokeback Mountain (2005)
2s. Manchester By The Sea (2016)
4. Wendy and Lucy (2008)
7. Meek's Cutoff (2011)
9. Blue Valentine (2010)
9. Take This Waltz (2012)
14s. Shutter Island (2010)
17. All the Money in the World (2017)

Craig's sole previous nod saw him place 5th in the lead category for Casino Royale (2006). Hunnam and Keen are new, as is "Rebecca Blunt." (Or is she?)

Good job other Dafne Keen voter. Hopefully they bring her back for an X-23 movie and also the Casino seen is great but I voted for the other one.

Good job other voters for Wright, Williams, Craig, and Blunt (yeah looks like everything I vote for ends up 17th)

Bad job everyone else for not giving them enough points to finish top 10 -- especially Williams and Craig, who were both amazing.

You only named his two "worst" films*. Did we (or those not-named-Victor) outright snub HOT FUZZ, THE WORLD'S END and SHAUN OF THE DEAD too??

*File that under "strictly relative statements."

The World's End squeaked in at #20, but Wright only managed 24th that year. The other two both got lower-rung nods in Screenplay and Actor (Pegg).

So I'd say the AVB really isn't Wright-friendly at all then ...
