NOTE: This is not the scene in question, though it contains a few seconds from that scene. Rather, it's a video I just found detailing the F/X work that went into Bird People, which—especially now that I see just how much was digitally constructed/added (even most of the shots of the airport through the hotel windows)—is just astounding given the budget this film must have had. (Sorry about the music, which I assure you is not from the movie itself.)

HISTORY:

Ceylan also placed 16th for Climates in 2006. Once Upon a Time in Anatolia gave him his best finish, up at #7. You guys failed to get Distant in the top 20 for Picture or Director, even though that remains his best film.

Fassbender has now made six appearances in the top 20 in as many years. In the lead category, he placed 5th for both Hunger (2009) and Shame (2011); in Supporting, he previously placed 14th for Inglourious Basterds (2009), 12th for Fish Tank (2010), and 3rd last year for 12 Years a Slave.

Gheorghiu placed 2nd in Supporting for The Death of Mr. Lazarescu (2006). Stewart, who I mistakenly assumed must be receiving her first modicum of respect from the AVB (though not her last), actually landed at #18 in the same category for Adventureland five years ago. Boseman is new.

Glazer's screenplay for Birth did not place. (He didn't write Sexy Beast.) Campbell has no previous screenwriting credits.
