HISTORY:

Baumbach previously placed 9th for The Squid and the Whale in 2005.

Hanks ties his best previous finish—he also placed 6th for Cast Away (2000). His other two nods were for Saving Private Ryan (#20, 1998) and The Ladykillers (#14, 2004). The others are all new.

Winter has worked mostly in television; his only previous screenplays were for Get Rich or Die Tryin' and Brooklyn Rules, neither of which made the cut.

Bruhl supporting? He and Hemsworth are the two protagonists of the film. If he is supporting, then who is the main actor in "Rush"? The cars?
